Microsoft describes the Web Application Installer Beta as being able to help get you up and running with the most widely used Web Applications freely available for your Windows Server. Web AI provides support for popular ASP.Net and PHP Web applications including Graffiti, DotNetNuke, WordPress, Drupal, OSCommerce and more. With just a few simple clicks, Web AI will check your machine for the necessary pre-requisites.

While there are plenty of alternatives that can do this, none have thus far been that user friendly and secure for the home user.

Once it is all installed enter your home url in a browser http://localhost/ or http://127.0.0.1/ to test iis functionality.  You should see the next screen pic2
